ABOUT THE CONCERT

"A star par excellence," writes the New York Times. Voice and charisma, that is the unanimously enthusiastic verdict of the critics when it comes to Jonathan Tetelman . The tenor, who was born in Chile and grew up in New Jersey, is considered one of the most exciting young singers of our time and is praised for his "vocally magnificent, radiant and unmistakable tenor voice" (Opera Aktuell). Tetelman stands on the stages of renowned houses with world-famous orchestras and shows his skills in "dark-colored tenor timbre" (Süddeutsche Zeitung). For his debut album with Verdi and Verismo arias, the exclusive artist of Deutsche Grammophon promptly received the Opus Klassik 2023 in the category "Young Artist of the Year".

With his current album "The Great Puccini", to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the composer's death, the singer presents famous arias from Puccini's most famous operas. The audience can experience all of these touching works in the Prinzregententheater when Tetelman, together with the Baden-Baden Philharmonic, performs a selection of the most beautiful arias by Verdi, Puccini and other famous opera composers - with "tenderness and vocal effortlessness" (SWR Kultur).
